DigitalLincs Sharing Circle – opportunity to share equipment, tools and products.

We have set up a ‘sharing circle’ on popular micro-lending website EcoModo.

The idea is that you can use this website to display equipment that you have which is available to loan to others.  You can charge people to rent equipment (and take their money!) using this service and the website incorporates insurance from RSA.  You can also post a ‘wanted’ advert to the digitallincs community.

Broadband Update Event (29 February, Washingborough Community Centre)

Individuals and organisations are invited to a countywide update on the delivery of better broadband across Lincolnshire. This event is taking place at Washingborough Community Centre (see map below) on 29 February.  It is being organised by Community Lincs in association with Lincolnshire County Council.

Places are strictly limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.  There will be a £20 charge per person for non-attendance.

The Digital Licensing Framework (DLF)  contest challenges you to develop innovative systems and services that help the exchange of licensing information between copyright holders and users in music, publishing or museums and galleries.

Entrants will be given the opportunity to work with leading rights holders such as Bridgeman Art Library, EMI, Pearson, PRS for Music and Tate in a trial with IC tomorrow’s digital platform.

New £15m content fund announced for Yorkshire

A new £15 million fund to invest in creative content in film, TV, games and the digital sector within Yorkshire and Humber has been announced by Screen Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Content Fund has secured £7,500,000 of investment from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which will be further matched by private sector investors on a project-by-project basis.
